1 cup Basmati Rice, 1 1/2 cup sugar syrup, 1/2 cup Milk, 1/2 cup crushed roasted nuts(almonds, cashews, walnuts), 1/2 tsp Cardamom Pd, 2 nos Aniseeds, few strands of saffron, 1 tbsp desi ghee, 1 bay leaf, 4 cloves
Wash and soak rice for 1/2 an hour. Heat ghee in a pan, add bay leaf, aniseeds, cloves and rice. Saute rice till it becomes little white. Now add sugar syrup and milk with saffron cover and boil till rice is all done. Once rice all cooked, add all nuts and garnishing of ur choice.
I added dried cranberries for khatta mittha taste.
Serve warm , it tastes really good.
